Martina E. Vandenberg is Founder and President of the Human Trafficking Legal Center. Vandenberg established the Human Trafficking Legal Center (formerly HT Pro Bono) in 2012 with generous support from the Open Society Foundations (OSF) Fellowship Program.
Evelyn Chumbow
Advocacy and Survivor Leadership Director
Evelyn Chumbow is the Advocacy and Survivor Leadership Director at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. She is a survivor of child labor trafficking turned anti-trafficking activist and public speaker. Chumbow focuses her life’s work on ending modern-day slavery.
Anasuya Syam
Human Rights and Trade Policy Director
Anasuya Syam is the Human Rights and Trade Policy Director at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. She leads the Human Trafficking Legal Center’s initiative on the U.S. Tariff Act and forced labor, with a focus on conducting investigations and submitting petitions under the Tariff Act.
Senior Staff Attorney
Caroline Pizano is the Senior Staff Attorney at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. She leads the Domestic Legal Strategies and Analysis program, working to expand access to justice for human trafficking survivors and promote trauma-informed legal strategies.
Nat Caterino
Development Director
Nat Caterino is the Development Director at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. She oversees the full spectrum of development operations, including donor stewardship, campaign strategy, and fundraising analytics.
Senior Operations Manager
Clara Cuttier is the Senior Operations Manager at the Human Trafficking Legal Center and is responsible for overseeing the overall function of the office and internal processes.
Communications Manager
Joelle Peikes is the Communications Manager at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. She leads all aspects of the organization’s communications, including digital storytelling, website and brand management, and social media strategy.

Joni Lee is the Senior Paralegal and Intake Specialist at the Human Trafficking Legal Center.

Jehane Djedjro is the Program Associate at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. She supports the Survivor Leadership and Trade programs, as well as general operations.
