Peter and Patricia Gruber Fellow in Global Justice

Kee En Chong is the Peter and Patricia Gruber Fellow in Global Justice at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. He supports the Center’s strategic litigation program.

Prior to joining the Human Trafficking Legal Center, Chong served as a prosecutor in Singapore for five years, where he specialized in prosecuting homicide and serious sexual offenses. Chong has extensive experience working with survivors of domestic worker abuse and servitude, violent crimes, domestic violence, and child sexual abuse. As a prosecutor, Chong was able to obtain restitution for survivors, including for conduct related to forced labor and other labor abuses. He has successfully prosecuted cases at the trial and appellate level.

Kee En also clerked in Singapore’s High Court and for the Chief Justice and the Vice-President of Singapore’s Supreme Court. In this capacity, he worked on cases ranging from criminal law and procedure, complex contracts, insolvency, shipping, medical negligence and tort law.

Kee En graduated from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service (B.S.F.S), the University of Cambridge (B.A. Law) and Yale Law School (LL.M.).
