Ayah Elsheikh

2025 Summer Legal Fellow

Ayah Elsheikh is a 2025 summer legal fellow at the Human Trafficking Legal Center. She is a rising 2L at the University of Michigan Law School. This coming year she will be serving as the Project Director of Michigan’s chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) as well as the Communications Director for the Organization for Public Interest Students. She’s on a set path to pursue public interest, with a particular focus on aiding migrants and asylum seekers.

She received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Ohio State University. Along with her degree she received a Translation and Interpretation Certification in French. Her hope is to eventually work across as many languages as she can learn.

She is incredibly excited to be joining HTLC this summer!
