Airin Ri

Spring 2022 Intern

Airin Ri is a Spring 2022 intern for the Human Trafficking Legal Center, where she supports database research and case analysis. 

Ri has experience in writing and editing numerous articles, hosting webinars and online lectures as the former editor in chief of Uprizine, a human rights and intersectional feminism publication club at Temple University Japan (TUJ).

Ri also has a wealth of experience in translating legal and non-legal materials from Japanese to English and vice versa at Uprizine and NGOs, including at Human Rights Now, Lighthouse: Center for Human Trafficking, and Unleash Potential. As a research assistant for TUJ, she closely worked with a U.S. attorney and researched, wrote, translated an article regarding rape culture and law in Japan.

Ri is expected to complete her bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University Japan in the Spring of 2022. She is currently studying to attend law school in the United States.
